Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the film, remarking that he cannot recall "one day without joy".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A court order placed a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a record noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals expressed divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering provocative statements that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the detractors recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and implied they demonstrated a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an aide should have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
