Indianapolis Colts Battle Falcons in German Capital – NFL Week 10

Guten tag, football enthusiasts. Wie gehts? Alles klar I trust on this excellent morning kickoff to the tenth week coming directly from Germany. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be precise where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the powerful Colts (seven wins and two losses) take on the Falcons (3-5). This marks the fifth matchup played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Highlights

As sparkly jackets go that is an real standout from the Olympic figure skater on the opening flip. A slight fluff from Sky Sports there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the commentator with an accidentally live microphone.

Well, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have chosen to get the ball first. Daniel Jones and company will be taking the field soon. Will the QB bounce back after a rough one in their last game?

Not to be outdone the singer belting out the Star Spangled Banner has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are ever likely to see. Loving the sartorial choices today. We are almost underway after a choir performance for the national anthem of Germany. Elegant.

First Quarter Gameplay

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

Here we go! And we have an exciting start after Jonathan Taylor catches a screen pass, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then fumbles … only for his offensive lineman to save his bacon with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the drama keeps coming as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The risk doesn't work out as the wide receiver cannot reel in a quick pass from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt the Falcons defender put a huge hit on the Colts' tight end. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they attempt to end their string of three losses. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Score Recap

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Did Kyle Pitts just drop a touchdown? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was very open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the high draft pick's professional journey to date.

So far, so disappointing but it only deteriorates for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard mark. The Falcons quarterback is hunted down and fumbles the football.

A nifty 22-yard run from the Colts receiver sets the running back up to roll in for the score on the next snap. Kicker Michael Badgley misses the point after attempt. Oops.

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-7 Falcons 6:07, 1st quarter

Penix Jr puts the fumble behind him by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a touchdown. Drake London makes some chunky receptions to put them in the red zone then the seas part for the running back to run untouched into the end zone through the middle of the defense for 13 yards. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. The Falcons take the lead.

Other Tenth Week Games
