'Living a Nightmare': Relatives of Unaccounted For Teenagers Await Information After Ski Resort Fire

The families of young people lost after a deadly fire at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are enduring an excruciating wait for answers and appealing for information about their family members via social media.

The blaze devastated the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Verified images depict the roof structure catching alight as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Authorities have stated that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the those who perished of the disaster, which killed numerous partygoers and wounded another 119. Officials said on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been identified, with efforts continuing to locate the other six.

In the meantime, relatives have been posting on social media to request clues about their loved ones who were present at the venue that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For
