Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
